ROOM SUITABILITY
Engineered wood flooring is a type of hardwood flooring, composed of multiple layers of timber stuck together, and finished with a layer of real wood lamella. Engineered oak flooring is able to contract and expand more than solid wood flooring, making it ideal for underfloor heating.
It has a natural and solid top layer of real wood, making it look like solid wood. Engineered hardwood wood planks are normally 14mm thick, with a 3mm top layer or veneer. These can vary up to 21mm with a 6mm top layer. This layer can be sanded and re-finished however you like.
