A series of 6 steel brushes are applied to remove the soft grain from the top layer the rustic hardwood surface whilst sympathetically following the natural contours of the wide section of oak.

The wear layer is then spray coated with coats of durable natural matt lacquer. The resulting plank is both wonderfully tactile and ultimately hardwearing, the rich, textured surface deflecting everyday wear and scratches.

Also available in a matching herringbone.

ROOM SUITABILITY

Engineered wood flooring is a type of hardwood flooring, composed of multiple layers of timber stuck together, and finished with a layer of real wood lamella. Engineered oak flooring is able to contract and expand more than solid wood flooring, making it ideal for underfloor heating.

It has a natural and solid top layer of real wood, making it look like solid wood. Engineered hardwood wood planks are normally 14mm thick, with a 3mm top layer or veneer. These can vary up to 21mm with a 6mm top layer. This layer can be sanded and re-finished however you like.
